First Dental Health has over 15,000 participating dentist locations in California.

You and all your household members in the program are entitled to significant savings on comprehensive dental care including braces and cosmetic procedures! Members can save between 25% and 40%* on more than 350 pre-negotiated dental procedures from more than 15,000 participating general dentist and specialist locations in California. Any procedures not listed are available at a 15% discount off the participating dentist’s usual and customary fee.

Quality dental care can be expensive!
Now you can get professional dental care at more affordable prices. With regular dental visits, you can help prevent those expensive services by catching problems early when they are easily treated.

Please follow the instructions listed below to receive your savings.

1. Detach your membership card to carry with you to identify yourself as a member.
2. Select a dentist who is a participating provider in the California First Dental Health (FDH) Access network.
3. Call the dental office for an appointment and confirm that the dentist participates in the FDH Access network.
4. Present your membership card when you arrive for your appointment.
5. Pay the contracted reduced fees at the time of your appointment. As a reminder, the program is NOT insurance. Do not submit any claim forms. The program does not pay claims. If you require specialized services, your FDH Access general dentist can refer you to a network specialist or you can choose one yourself.
6. Fees are subject to change after at least 30 days notice to members. Your participating dentist will have the most current fee schedule.
7. You must use an FDH Access dentist to receive your reduced, contracted fees.

*Dental Savings based on First Dental Health’s 2008 Region 1 dental fee schedule for participating dentists (fees vary by region) compared to the 80th percentile of the Medicode fee schedule (average savings for all listed procedures 35%). Actual savings may vary. Dental care services in progress or provided before the membership effective date in the program; experimental procedures; IV sedation; and services not normally provided by participating dentists or within the scope of their training, are excluded.
